With eight Maroons missing this week and almost as many gone the week after, we've decided to add another member part-time to the squad.
Dave McCann, who played some games with Gibson Park Rangers last season, and took part in the trial game against us in preseason, will come in as a relief player.
This means he will only play when we have fewer than 15 available for a game. I know some players are happy with a small squad but it's a long season and we should be trying to pace ourselves. Also, we have always produced better results with a good subs bench to rotate.
Dave will hopefully be registered in time for this week's match and should play the next two. As far the rest of the season goes he will then be registered and able to come in if we suffer several injuries, as we did last season.
