this will be short, but not as short as Kevs. I dont think we were crap, but we still lost.
At the start I expected the table topping hogs to be good, but we quickly realised they arent special. They have a good defence, not much else. Their goal was from a obvious hand ball, had a penalty count 9-1 in their favour, and for the last 30 minutes they played right back content to sit on their lead. Whenever we thought we were a chance for a shot, there was someone to make the tackle. As I said, their defence is well organised.
We didnt play badly, everyone gave their best, just wasnt our day.

Guest I dont particularly feel like a winner when we have lost a game that we could well have won, or at least drew.
ReplyDeleteIn my humble opinion the 2 Shellharbour teams are stronger than the Hogs. Balgownie will probably be a tougher opposition as well. The Whites are playing good football at the moment and we should go into every match thinking we can win.
Dont mean to lecture a guy who is doing a good job, but dont forget that we have not changed our team really...a few in, a few out.
ReplyDeleteThe diffence is only down to positive attitude, knowing each others strengths and weaknesses and feeling confident.
As hitman said, '2 wins out of 25 and we are giving lectures'. We should be careful with our words...we need to stay motivated and confident and words count in this regard.
As they say in my home town..."let your feet do the talking, but feet talk better when the chiken is pluckin cluckin good"
ReplyDelete1. we could have (and should have) beaten the hogs.
ReplyDelete2. the shellharbour teams are better.
3. its 2 wins from 26 games.
the best part about soccer? Half an hour after saturdays game there was still 16 blokes sitting around chatting and drinking Hucky's beers. Not bad for a team thrown together last year.
during our debut season all I heard from EVERY SINGLE maroon was encouragement. When they get their players back they will be a force, no doubt.
