Excellent turn-out on Sunday for our first run of the season, the fact that we managed to cripple Anthony H for the remainder for the season surpasses all previous friendly training sessions, in fact, if we hold training sessions every night before we start the season, we'll be able to field nobody in both teams!

Ant will continue to fine players during the session as well as provide beer for purchase after homes games, all proceeds going back into the club.

I'd like ideas from everyone on any particular social activities they feel would help generate additional funds for the club.

These could include family BBQ days, golf days or trivia nights at the bowlo.......all ideas will be discussed by the committee.

We'll be unable to hold more than 3 events during the season because of family or work commitments, however lets make the most of these events and ensure we have fun as well as raising money for the club.

  1. Great Blog site again. Well done chaps. It feels like I'm in a squad already, without the hard work or danger (refer Ant)of training.

  3. How about a family day/BBQ at the ground after our derby on the 23rd May. Possibly move to bowlo if weather is rubbish.

  4. I agree that that is a perfect opportunity. I'm going to discuss the idea of us playing that game earlier if the junior draw allows, so we come straight on after the final kids match. We could throw up a jumping castle for the little ones (a few hundred) or do something else if the mood strikes - a kids v parents game if any of us are still able to run around later. SD?
