Barring late injuries or unexpected withdrawals, the teams have been decided. They appear as The Whites or The Maroons on the right hand column.
It's important to make clear that no selections have been made based on performances or skill levels.
The original 15 from Helensburgh last season have stayed together in the Maroons. The selection of the five to join them was made purely on personal rather than playing grounds. A very short history lesson: As the Helensburgh side half emerged from Sunday morning soccer, four of the places have gone to people who pioneered that, before we started in competitive action. They all have strong friendship ties to the 15. The fifth player is a work colleague of one of the 15 and only playing at all because of their work relationship.
I think in a group of 40 there might be a grumble or two about your teammates or the makeup of teams. I'd hope they don't last long or aren't too loud. I think we should all be happy to be part of something new and see where it takes us this season. I would expect that we support each other all the way and, if the Whites go into the final game neeeding a 6-0 victory to make the finals, I'll go in goal!
Cheers
